The fabrics

  • Indoor/Outdoor: a soft, medium-weight fleece that resists wind and rain. The only bodysuit made to wear inside as well as out, for lounging, sleeping, walking, traveling and camping. Machine washable and dryable.
  • Heavy Fleece: thick and warm, for cold, windy winter weather. A form-fitting suit that stretches sideways for dogs of different weights. Fully machine washable.
  • Extra Heavy Fleece: a very thick velour fleece that resists the wind, repels snow and adds warmth in very cold conditions. Machine wash cool, dry on low heat; it air dries in minutes.
  • Windblock: two layers of fleece plus a polyurethane barrier in between. The outer fleece repels water and stains, the textured inner fleece insulates, and the middle layer blocks wind and snow while letting moisture through for “breathable” comfort. Wind-blocking and water-repellent. Machine wash in cold water and air dry; it dries in minutes.
  • Extra Heavy Windblock: the same three-layer build in a fleece so thick it feels like a jacket in the shape of a bodysuit, with a velvety, water-repellent outer fleece. Wash in cold water and air dry.

What every Dachshund bodysuit shares

  • Shaped for Dachshunds and dogs with rounded bodies, low tucks and short legs
  • Stretches to go on, with no velcro, zippers or clasps
  • A discreet leash opening on the back
  • Cut to allow all bodily functions
  • Five sizes, XS to XL, and made in the USA, in New York City’s garment district

Quick picks

Does the weather where you live change?

Many Dachshund owners keep two bodysuits: an Indoor/Outdoor Bodysuit for fall and spring and a winter fleece for the cold months. Because every style comes in the same five sizes, your dog’s size carries over from one to the next.

Inside vs outside

Every winter fleece, Heavy, Extra Heavy, Windblock and Extra Heavy Windblock, is for outside wear only and should never be worn inside. Indoors, keep your dog in the Indoor/Outdoor Bodysuits or in Jammies.
