Heavy Fleece Sweaters cover the chest and front legs, but a four-leg bodysuit also covers the belly and legs, where dogs lose the most heat, so a bodysuit is always the better choice for walks. Fitted to the Whippet
Contoured for Whippets and breeds with deep chests, long legs and higher tucks, so it follows the body instead of hanging loose like a generically sized coat. Since 1999, every Houndz in the Hood pattern has been sized and shaped to the breed, the way a dressmaker fits a client.
Choosing a size
Measure length (base of the neck, in front of the withers, to the end of the back legs) and girth (the largest chest circumference, behind the front legs), then compare with the Whippet sizing guide. Most Whippets have a chest 2-2.5" larger than their length. If your dog is between sizes or a mix, send us the measurements and we’ll help you choose.
