The fabrics

  • Indoor/Outdoor: a midweight fleece that resists wind and rain, comfortable for play outside and for lounging and sleeping inside. Machine wash cool, tumble dry low.
  • Heavy Fleece: thick, warm polar fleece that resists wind, rain and snow and insulates the body. For outside wear only. It stretches sideways for dogs of different weights and is fully machine washable.
  • Windblock: three layers: a velvety outer fleece treated to be water-repellent and fight off stains, a polyurethane layer in the middle that blocks wind and snow, and a textured inner fleece that adds insulation. Wash in cold water and air dry; it dries in minutes.
  • Extra Heavy Fleece (hooded): a very thick velour fleece that resists the wind and repels snow, for below 35°F.
  • Extra Heavy Windblock: the same three-layer build in a fleece so thick it feels like a jacket in the shape of a bodysuit, with a polyurethane barrier that allows moisture through for breathable comfort.

Hood or no hood?

Hooded styles have a sewn-in hood with no strings or attachments. It covers the head, ears and neck without interfering with your dog’s vision, and there is a second leash opening on the hood. On the Extra Heavy Fleece Hooded Bodysuit, the hood rolls back into a turtleneck. Choose a hood if it is windy, freezing or snowing where you walk, or if your dog tucks its head down against the weather.
